Create colorful, festive Easter Bunny Bark with this easy DIY recipe. Using melted candy wafers and assorted Easter candies, you can make marbled chocolate bunnies in under an hour. They’re perfect for baskets, gifts, or a sweet spring treat.

There’s so much to love about this time of year but my favorite thing may be the seasonal candy aisle at the grocery store. It’s decked out in all shades of pink, yellow, and green. You’ll find blue malted milk robin’s eggs tucked between edible Easter grass and noble-looking chocolate bunnies that stand upright. I’ll take one of each, please.
This DIY Easter Bunny Bark is my love letter to that candy-filled season. With eye-popping colors and endless possibilities for customization, it’s a project that can be completed in under an hour and is guaranteed to brighten any Easter basket.

The part of this project that I enjoy most is choosing what candy to use. There are no rules so just have fun! Here I’ve used Jelly Belly’s Deluxe Easter Mix which has all kinds of candies in one bag: pastel candy corn, mini rabbits, foil-wrapped chocolate eggs, malted milk eggs and jellybeans.

You’ll need rabbit-shaped (or spring-themed) cookie cutters for this project, and there are so many good choices right now at craft stores in the baking aisle. If you like the bunny shape I used, you can find it for purchase here.

How to Make Rabbit-Shaped Easter Bunny Bark
Making these festive bunnies is easier than it looks! First, line your rabbit-shaped cookie cutters with aluminum foil which will hold the melted candy. Then, melt your candy wafers by color and spoon them into the prepared cutters. Use a toothpick to swirl the colors together, creating a fun marbled effect. Then, sprinkle on some candies or confetti sprinkles (or both!). Once the chocolate is set in the fridge, carefully remove the foil and cutters to reveal your adorable bunny-shaped treats, ready to decorate or tuck into Easter baskets.

Just looking at these wild candied-up guys makes me excited for spring. You can find lots more how-to images where the complete tutorial lives, on The Etsy Blog.

Bunny Bark
Equipment
- 5 metal rabbit-shaped or spring-themed cookie cutters
- aluminum foil
- Toothpicks
- baking sheet
- Cellophane bags and ribbon optional
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups assorted candies such as pastel jelly beans, Easter-mix candy corn, and sprinkles
- 12 ounces candy melting wafers 4 oz. each blue, pink, and yellow candy melting wafers
Instructions
Prepare the Easter candies
- Place assorted candies in bowls nearby and within reach for sprinkling.
- Place each color of candy wafers into separate microwave-safe bowls.
- Heat each bowl in 30-second intervals until the candy is melted and can be stirred until smooth.
Prepare the bunny-shaped cookie cutters with foil
- Lay a bunny cookie cutter in the center of a small sheet of aluminum foil. Fold and scrunch the foil tightly around the edges of the cookie cutter shape.
- Smooth the foil on the inside so the melted candy will lay flat.
- Repeat with remaining shapes, and then place on a baking sheet.
Fill cookie cutters with melted, swirled candy wafers
- Using spoons, dollop alternating colors of the melted candy wafers into the prepared cookie cutters. Shake the baking sheet gently to level the chocolate.
- Use a toothpick to swirl the colors together for a marbled effect.
Decorate and refrigerate
- Sprinkle assorted candies on top of the melted chocolate.
- Transfer the baking sheet to the refrigerator to allow the chocolate to set.
- When the candy is firm, gently remove the foil and push the chocolate through the bottom of the cutter.
- If the bark won’t budge, gently bend the edges of the cookie cutter outward until the chocolate releases.
Lovely Sprinkle Bakes Lady, hello,
These bunnies are right up there with your "naughty" reindeer cookies you posted at Christmas. You know, the reindeer-shaped sugar cookies with their chocolate-dipped paws, which I make every year.
These bunnies are adorable. Thank You.
I'm so happy you love the reindeer recipe! I made those last year for a friend, except instead of reindeer I used a dog cookie cutter. They were muddy puppies.
