Can we cut the recipe in half and it still come out good? We just want to do 2 paw print ornaments.

Yes, the recipe can be halved. It will still make more dough than you’ll need, I think.
There’s sure to be a salty residue on paws afterward, so I’d recommend wiping the paws with a damp cloth immediately after taking the imprint.
