24oz.1 package white Almond Bark candy coating (such as Plymouth Pantry)
1cupblackwhite, and silver sprinkle medley
20black confetti sprinkles
4orange candy-coated sunflower seeds
4mini ice cream cones
12Silly Sour Spaghetti strands
Instructions
Wash and dry the apples thoroughly; remove stems. Lay a large sheet of parchment paper on a work surface. Place a marshmallow on the top stem ends of the apples. Skewer the marshmallow and apple together through the top center. Set aside.
Break apart the candy coating and heat according to the package directions (or, microwave 30 second intervals and stir until smooth). Hold a skewered apple over the bowl and spoon the candy coating over the marshmallow and apple. Tap bottom of the coated apple gently on the side of the bowl to even the surface of the candy; let excess candy drip off. Immediately dip the bottom of the apple in the sprinkle medley; place on parchment.
Using kitchen-dedicated tweezers, place two black confetti sprinkles on the marshmallow for eyes. Add an orange candy-coated sunflower seed for a nose. Place three black confetti sprinkles vertically down the center of the apple for ‘buttons’. Repeat this process with the remaining apples.
Trim the mini ice cream cones at the middle seam (or line) using a serrated knife. Reserve the bottoms of the cones for other use or crush for ice cream toppings. Dip the outside of the top cone piece (which is an open ring) into leftover candy and then roll in the sprinkle medley. Repeat process with other cone pieces. Place on parchment to set.
Meanwhile divide the strands of sour spaghetti into sets of 3. Braid the strands together and pinch the ends tightly to fasten (you can also add a dot of melted candy). When dipped snowmen are totally set, wrap the scarves around the bottom of the marshmallow (neck) and fasten with dots of melted candy. Thread the sprinkled cone hats over the skewers and rest on top of the marshmallow.
Package in candy apple boxes or clear cellophane bags tied with ribbon. These can be made a couple of days in advance, if needed.
