You will need a silicone shot glass mold for this recipe. See blog post for sources. Use 40 proof or lower liqueur, otherwise the shot glasses will not set. For a non-alcoholic version, trade the liqueur for clear fruit juice in equal amounts.
Neutral-tasting vegetable oil for greasing moldI used canola
1box3 ounces Berry Blue Jello
7packets.25 ounces each unflavored powdered gelatin
2.5ouncesblue Curaçao liqueur
Dab a bit of vegetable oil on a paper towel and lightly grease the cavities of the mold. Place the mold on a baking sheet.
Pour the Jello and powdered gelatin in a large measure with a pour spout. Whisk to combine. Pour in the boiling water and stir until the sugar granules disappear. Quickly stir in the blue Curaçao. Mix briefly and immediately pour the mixture into the prepared shot glass mold.
Refrigerate until well set, about 2 hours or until the shot glasses are firm and can be pushed out of the molds from the bottom up.
Fill the glasses with your choice of drink or boozy whipped cream. Chill glasses in the refrigerator before serving.
