Stamped Peppermint Candy for the Etsy Blog!

This is a fun and easy project for holiday gift giving, and one that you can – quite literally – put your own unique stamp on! Peppermint pastilles are made with confectioners’ sugar, powdered gelatin and mint extract. When the candies harden, you can turn them into little works of art using rubber stamps and food color.

To get all the instructions with step-by-step pictures, head on over to the Etsy Blog!

I thought about stamping on cookies, but never thought of making my own mints. Cute idea!

Neat! When they dry, are they crunchy, chewy, or creamy? Thanks.

@Aunt Peggy – when dry they are very crisp but crumbly. Sort of like a thin Altoid mint.

Genius! I might make holes in the top of mine and hang them from the Christmas tree. Thank you for such a lovely idea.

Brilliant idea. Is there anything that can be used as a substitute for meringue powder? It's tricky to get hold of in England, thank you!

You can omit the meringue powder, as it just lends a slightly different flavor to the mixture. Replace it with 1/3 cup powdered sugar and knead as directed.

Hi Heather,
My GF has given me an early Christmas present of a rainbow unicorn sprinkles shaker (I won't post a link in case it gets borked but an image search will find the very thing). We have named her Sprinkle Bakes in your honour.
Best wishes and thanks for the wonderful recipe suggestions. I am making your bourbon truffle balls tomorrow, can't wait.

ember!

This makes me so happy! Thank you! I've decided I need one of those rainbow unicorn sprinkle shakers, too. It's so nice to be thought of when sprinkles are happening.

Happy holidays!
