To my kind friends at Wilton:
Thank you ever so much for sending me the Cookie Exchange package. I was amazed at your generosity when I opened the box of goodies and found everything (and I do mean everything) that I would need and much, much more!
I had it all planned out... I would take pictures all during the party and show you what a wonderful time we had (and we did, we DID have a wonderful time)...

...but I only managed to snap a few before the party started. All the guests arrived at once and the party seemed to go by so fast. We laughed and played games...

... and of course stuffed ourselves with cookies. Here is a picture of the festive packing you provided us at the packaging station. Everyone loved the boxes, and the matching parchment sheets were my favorite.

I managed to get one picture of our table full of cookies, and it's not a very good one at that. But you get the idea. Our table was overflowing with cookies!
And then, towards the end of the party, the power went out.
That's right. A transformer blew (with a loud pop!) and there we sat in the dark with our cookies. Luckily the swap was done, and most everyone was preparing for the drive home. I visited a bit more with my Sis and her family by candlelight, still eating cookies. I don't think anything could have dampened our spirits on such a cold (not to mention dark) wintry day.
So, in closing I'd like to heartily thank you again. You've helped my family make some very special Christmas memories.
Yours truly,

Sounds like so much fun!!! Even if it was in the dark! LOL!
How nice of them! Sounds like a great time!
Your whole setup looks SO NICE(like a magazine spread)! Looks like a great cookie exchange party! At least the power waited to go out when the party was over:)
Wow, it looks amazing! What wonderful cookies and looks like it was so fun. Even in the dark, LOL!! Seriously, nothing can stop you from enjoying cookies.
I've just stumbled upon your 'delicious' blog today and can't seem to stop looking at your posts.
In this one...can you tell me what you did with the little canning jars posted in the first picture?
